Junior Staff Accountant

AccountantsWorld is looking for a candidate with knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles. The desired candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and interested in expanding their knowledge and experience in accounting, while being given an opportunity to progress within our organization.

Position Description

Accounts Receivable

  • Create invoices and respond to customer billing inquiries
  • Collect funds for declined transactions
  • Process refunds and adjustments
  • Make deposits and record all cash receipts
  • Daily cash reconciliation
  • Respond to credit card chargebacks

Accounts Payable

  • Enter invoices and make payments to vendors in a timely manner
  • Maintain vendor accounts
  • Review and analyze account expenses

Additional Tasks

  • Bank account reconciliations
  • Post journal entries
  • Assist with monthly accruals and the closing process
  • Other accounting-related duties as requested

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of bookkeeping and/or accounting experience
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a related field
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping, spreadsheets, reconciliations

Knowledge Requirements

Multiple positions available for Software Developer (junior to senior level) will work under the supervision of a software architect or technical project manager.

Knowledge Requirements

Product Manager, Payroll

As Product Manager, you will guide a team that contributes to the development and support of Payroll related programs. This extends from increasing the features and functionality to retention of the customer. You will help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your conversations with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of Payroll processing knowledge and technical savvy; understand the big-picture vision of the company, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

Achieving strong communication within all areas of the payroll product development organization, as listed below, is essential to succeed in this position:

  • Document specifications, use cases, and test cases.
  • Working with the software developers and architects to define product release requirements and ensure solution feasibility.
  • Monitor progress towards product completion for each component and the final product.
  • Manage UAT to ensure final product meets customer needs and adheres to specifications and is critical defect free.
  • Work with marketing communications to help them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers.
  • Work with the sales channel and prospects to demonstrate product features and understand customers unique requirements to build the roadmap.

Knowledge requirements

A product manager’s key role is key to the success of the company and will require tactical and strategic leadership

  • 5 years of software product management or programming experience in payroll solutions.
  • Knowledgeable of technology and payroll processing. A technologist/developer who has worked on payroll products and wants to venture into product management would be strong candidate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or computer science degree required. CPA or public accounting experience a plus.
  • Ability to focus, manage the competing demands on time and meet key work objectives.
  • The ability to reach more challenging performance targets.
  • Create a good rapport with team members throughout the organization.
  • Ability to manage testing programs.

Job responsibilities

Provide development support for product enhancements and maintenance.

  • Managing the entire product line life cycle from planning to tactical activities (Make it happen).
  • Project Management/ end to end delivery management of the Payroll Relief solution. This includes defining project goals and milestones, creating means of measuring those goals and communicating goals to all project team.
  • Manage Support of Payroll products internally and external customers – including complex customer issue and resolutions with federal and state agencies.
  • Understand different customer needs and show customers how to maximize their return on investment in the product.
