VP of Product Management

AccountantsWorld is a leader in cloud solutions for accountants. We are looking for an innovative, analytical, and detail-oriented individual who has Product Management experience with enterprise SaaS systems and has a proven record of setting product vision and translating it into a product roadmap. You will be responsible for defining the product strategies and customers outcomes that the product team members work to achieve and ensuring that the products delivered meet the needs of AW’s customers.

As a VP of Product, you are expected to demonstrate competencies in the full product lifecycle from discovery to delivery, including product evangelism, customer discovery, leadership of the product team, management of product(s) including prioritization of work and writing release notes for product releases, and management of relationships with key product stakeholders. You will manage and mentor Product Managers and provide guidance and leadership across the product team.

You’ll be reporting to the President of the company.

Requirements:

Discovery

  • Meet with customers to identify customer needs and opportunities, determine product market fit.
  • Work to vet new solution opportunities, assists in identification of new markets and use cases.
  • Meet with customers to validate features and walk-through product iterations during development to ensure product development is on track to meet customer needs.
  • Occasionally meet with dissatisfied customers to address their concerns.

Design and Delivery

  • Work closely with designers to make sure features are usable and intuitive for our customers.
  • Work closely with developers and software architects to ensure solution feasibility.
  • Acquire a deep expertise of the product, customers, and related domain(s).
  • Document key use cases and personas to help the team understand the problems.
  • Create story maps, road maps and other artifacts to provide context and direction to product teams and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the product team understands the vision and strategy of their product, as well as the short- and medium-term plans to achieve their vision.
  • Monitor progress towards product completion for each component and the final product. Ensure final product meets customer needs.

Product Management

  • Research competitive/related solutions, understands the technology landscape.
  • Create and maintain a clear product vision and strategy that helps drive the product forward and supports the broader business goals.
  • Manage relationships with product marketing, sales, strategic partners, customer success, and customers that use or might use their product.
  • Work to inform internal stakeholders of product strategy and goals, understands and considers their input.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to develop a go to market strategy.

Requirements

  • 7+ years related product management experience.
  • Payroll, Tax, Accounting and compliance experience at SaaS provider is highly desirable.
  • M.S./B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, or business (accounting, finance). MBA is a plus.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle with the ability to develop product and Go to Market strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
  • Leadership ability to connect and inspire others to perform at their best.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job. Decisive, logical and analytically driven decision maker.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization.

SalesForce Administrator

Location: Headquarters – Hauppauge, New York 11788

Your Opportunity:

The Accounting profession is going through a major transformation as it moves to the cloud, which is why this is a very exciting time to come onboard. We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Administrator to lead the critical sales operation functions required to support our robust sales and marketing workflows. This role reports to the SVP-Sales.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as Salesforce Administrator.
  • An undergraduate degree in Business. A concentration in Accounting would be a real plus.
  • Certified as a Salesforce Administrator with a keen eye towards safety and security.
  • Experience using Salesforce tools/functions including but not limited to Sales Cloud, High Velocity Sales, Automation Workflows, Data Loader, Sales Cadences, Campaigns, Lightning Reporting and Dashboard Creation. A working knowledge of Einstein Analytics and Salesforce API integrations is a positive.
  • A working knowledge of Marketo as a Marketing Automation console and Apex, HTML and JavaScript would be a plus.
  • Collaborative team player who is also able to work independently and be comfortable in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, without sacrificing attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Additional certifications in Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder and Platform Developer are highly desirable.

What you will do:

  • Manage all aspects of the Salesforce instance and enhancements required to align with the Objectives and Key Results (OKR’s) for AccountantsWorld.
  • Implement Salesforce release upgrades and conduct maintenance on an as needed basis.
  • Create Dashboards, Lightening Reports, Sales Cadences, Automation Workflows and Einstein.
  • Analytics for the Executives, Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams.
  • Test and Implement third-party software that integrate with the Salesforce (Marketo, Gong etc.).
  • Partner with the Development and Marketing teams on an as needed basis.
  • The role may operate from a virtual office but being local to Long Island is a plus.

  • Design/Architect and Develop highly scalable web-based Payroll Relief solutions.
  • Lead a team of software engineers/developers.
