Data Security and Privacy
Ensuring the security and privacy of your and your clients' data is paramount to us. We employ very stringent measures to protect data.
AccountantsWorld uses one of the most sophisticated security systems available today – SSL – to encrypt and transmit data. To prevent unauthorized access, our servers are firewall-protected and monitored with sophisticated intrusion detection devices. Furthermore, to make sure your data files are physically safe, we provide high levels of hardware redundancy. Our Web servers are located in a highly secure data center facility.

Secure Servers
All our web servers are secured using digital certificates from Thawte. Servers are assigned a Secure Certificate ID that identifies the website and enables us to
use SSL for secured data transfer (see below).
Encryption
To protect your and your clients' critical financial information while it is transmitted over the Internet, all critical information such as credit card information, password and personal data are encrypted using 128-bit SSL. This is the most robust encryption technology available today.
For further protection, all information remains encrypted while stored on our servers.
Firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems
We use state-of-the-art Cisco firewalls to protect our web applications as well as all internal network systems to prevent any unauthorized access. In addition, we use Cisco's Intrusion Detection System to protect against any attempt to break into our web servers. All systems are monitored 7x24x365.
Protection against viruses
All servers and workstations are protected against virus attacks by utilizing leading Anti-Virus software. Anti-virus definitions are automatically and continually updated.
Physical security of server location
Our web servers are located in a highly secure data center to prevent unauthorized access or damage due to fire, floods, etc. Access to the data center is restricted and documented.
Our data storage center was designed to insure maximum uptime with continuous back up using a highly advanced storage system as well as redundant power, Internet connection, and HVAC systems.
Privacy policy
We protect your and your clients' privacy with utmost care. We will not share your client data with any third party except with our alliance partners, when necessary for successful implementation of any service we offer with their assistance. All our alliance partners are required to sign a contract to safeguard your and your client's data against any unauthorized use.
As a result of these stringent security measures, your and your clients' documents and data files are safer with AccountantsWorld than if they were stored on your own or your clients' in-house networks and computers.
